I'm a life-long night owl, born and raised in a small town, but blossomed and bloomed in the big city. I met my husband on the front stoop of our freshman dorm at Penn where I earned a degree in English and Art History. After a short stint working in PR, I found my way to the world of events, where my affection for strategy and organization could live in harmony with my passion for style and innovation, and so, in 2001, Lindsay Landman Events was born.
Now, my days are filled with collaborations between lighting techs and dahlia farmers, spatial relations problems requiring advanced geometry that would make my high school teachers proud, contract negotiations in boardrooms and barrooms and adventures with hot glue and spray paint primed for a world-class HGTV series.
At home on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, I'm a lunch-making, baseball-watching, homework-checking mom of two pretty cool boys who have been known to proudly tell the school admin that the flowers in her office would be nicer if their mom made them.
I consider myself fortunate beyond measure to do work that I love in the best city on earth surrounded by remarkable people who support and inspire me. I live in anticipation of my next event adventure, and I very much hope you will be a part of it.
I was born in San Francisco where I formed my earliest memories of the West Coast. After my family moved to Cincinnati at age 8 where I lived through high school, I knew the East Coast had to be my next stop. My mother has always had a dynamic affinity for culture and design and growing up would transform any occasion into a marvelous affair. I naturally embraced her attention to detail and carried with me that inspiration when I moved to New York and began my career in events - the rest is history! Besides obsessing over linens and becoming a regular in the flower market, I love to travel, stopping cute puppies on the street, and finding the best views of the city.
I may be a New Yorker now, but I'm a southern belle at heart. As a Carolina girl, I'm a huge football fan and my wardrobe consists almost entirely of sundresses. I start every day with a fitness class (I've taken more than 500 on ClassPass) and find my zen in writing (I've contributed articles to People StyleWatch, Us Weekly and Teen Vogue). I love exploring all the new spots in the City, and I'm always the first one to check out that cute bakery or trendy rooftop bar - which might just turn out to be the perfect venue for our next event.
I am an avid crafter and for as long as I can remember, I've switched crafts from month to month. You name it, I do it... draw, paint, knit, bead, crochet, needlepoint and embroider. My most prized possession at age 13 was my Prismacolor Premier Set (colored pencils) and my fate as a designer was sealed when I got my first computer and learned I could use my creative talents as a career and not just a hobby in my parents' basement. My grandma is one of my very best friends and is always keeping me up-to-date on trends, restaurants, fashion and TV shows. I love to travel the world, and while Venice is my favorite spot, I've been lucky to land in thirty-three different countries across the globe.
I am a native New Yorker and have lived in the same Manhattan apartment all my life, first as a child and now with my husband and our vast collection of vinyl records. I crossed the river to Brooklyn for middle and high school every day and now it's still a favorite destination for hanging with friends. My event planning experience began by producing rock concerts at the University of Chicago, and while my love for music has never waned, my focus on events shifted towards the wedding industry when I began working at a small mom-and pop-bridal salon. I quickly made weddings my career from dresses and veils, to custom stationery, to wedding catering sales. I planned my first wedding in 2006 and have never looked back. You can find me on the dance floor with my planning clipboard in hand.
I'm a San Francisco native, with a bit of New York soul. I'm a detail obsessed creative and met Lindsay when I was a student in one of her wedding planning courses in NYC. After almost a decade in New York, I migrated back home to raise my family. In the Bay Area, I managed events for a 5-star luxury hotel until I was lucky enough to rejoin the LLE team on the West Coast. I pride myself in tying a perfect bow and being a spreadsheet queen. When I'm not doing that, I am mom to 2 wonderful, curious little humans.
In the early hours of the day and long into the night, these brilliant people are the magic-makers behind the scenes. From conditioning thousands of flowers and assembling intricate chandeliers to packing our trucks and hanging delicate blooms from perches high in the air, there is no event that would be even close to as beautiful or refined without these incredible talents.
